From The Heart Dog Training
Only the Best for Our Best Friends
What Exactly Does Dog Training Entail?
Through training we can mold your dog’s behavior into a desirable asset. According to the latest statistics, behavioral problems are the primary reasons pets are turned into shelters and yet only 4% of people seek professional assistance. Statistics also reveal using aggressive training methods increases the potential for development of aggressive behavior. Trust is the key word in the methods used at FROM THE HEART DOG TRAINING, however, trust must be earned by and from your dog. During class you will work hard, play games, laugh, and learn. But most importantly, you will form a bond with your pet.
How it Works
A dog’s friendship can be a wonderful one! If you are looking for tools to correct problems, and re-train an undesirable behavior, the first step is to contact us.
Next, meet our dog trainer, Barbara. My commitment to you is to provide you with tools needed to change an undesirable behavior into desirable behavior.
Schedule a Date!
The last step is to schedule a date. Make sure to download and answer the pre-training questions and bring them with you. All family members are encouraged to participate.
Small Dog Social
Every Saturday @9am
This is a weekly event held for dogs under 30 pounds or under 6 months of age. This is the place where your dog learns dog language from other dogs. Dogs must be cleared if not one of our training dogs. You will be asked to walk for 45 minutes ignoring your dog completely. No treats allowed. It is a donation event, no set fee. If you’d like more information, please contact the training center at (831) 783-0818.
Dog Owner Reviews
“Love Barbara and her training methods. Kai my Baby Chow Chow puppy attended puppy class. He is also signed up for Drop In Class and he attends doggie daycare. I love that he gets to socialize as you know Chows can be rather aloof, but here he loves interacting with his classmates! Great place.”
“We have trained four dogs with Barbara DeGroodt at From the Heart. I can’t imagine a better place to train your dog or a better trainer to work with. There’s a reason she was selected as national Dog Trainer of the Year in 2011 – she’s simply the best.”
“After rescuing Axel, our new addition to our family, we were at a loss on how to resolve some major behavioral problems. With Babara’s one-on-one training in our home, we are now on our way to better understanding how to resolve these problems and she has given us some great tools.”
